About the winery
The terroir is made up of gros galets roulés which source the fierté des vignerons du cru. Ces galets ne sont pas l’oeuvre de l’homme. Au début de l’époque quaternaire, au moment de la fonte des glaciers, le Rhône couvrait le plateau sur lequel le vignoble se trouve. Il a laisse ces cailloux ou quartzites de forte taille communément appelés « frédjaoux », qui sont restés après l’abaissement du level de la Méditerranée. It is a strong handicap for the culture of the vineyard (fatigue of men and material), and it is also an atout for the quality of the vines. In fact, the energy is perfect for the daytime and for the rest of the night, allowing for a more regular maturity.
LES VIGNES The forest vineyards are ideally situated on the château, and are away from visitors. Des explanations sur le terroir caillouteux exceptionnel de Signargues (de type châteauneuf-du-pape) sont données également. The driving mode of the wine and the bio culture are equally familiar.
BIODIVERSITY The haies, talus, herbed bands, weapons, parc, oliviers, grenadiers, cyprès etc., present on the domaine, open a large diversity of living organisms, of all tailles, of the most visible and the most microscopic (mammifères, insects, mushrooms , oiseaux…). They are called « zones de régulation écologique » or « éléments agroécologiques » car ce sont des surfaces gérées de manière extensive, sans pesticides. This biodiversity is essential for the intervention in the cycles of water, carbon, and water, etc. Pour les terres du château de Bosc, ces zones naturelles ou semi-naturelles sont également utiles car les abritent chauves-souris, oiseaux insectivores et bien d’autres espèces qui se nourrissent des parasites des cultures et nous permettent de réduire au maximum les intrants.
