About the Winery
Funder of the brand, Charles de Grimont was a pionier in Burgundy agriculture and viticulture.
Originally, the wines were made from a single grape variety, mainly pinot noir and eventually gamay. And for the white mainly chardonnay. Fruity and with a good aromatic complexity, the wines 200 years ago were quite different from today, due to the colder climate and lower expertise on wine-making.
Today the viticulture method is still ancestral, but the technologies allow our wine-maker team to be more precise and extract as much as possible from the terroir of Burgundy.
Our biggest challenge is now to deal with the violent climate change, and be able to quickly adapt to the global warming.
